The Creepy Thing About Me . . .
I love old cemeteries. JD thinks it's creepy.
I think they are beautiful. So many unique markers, each one with a story to tell. I love to see what words were chosen to sum up a life.
Macy and I took a drive to Mt. Olivet cemetery (est. 1874) across from Rice-Eccles Stadium yesterday. We go to see all the deer you find grazing there. I could haven taken dozens of pictures.

I love the lamb and the girl but breaks my heart a little for their families. If we go again, I think I'll take flowers.

I love this cemetery as well. It has a lot of history and wonderful quiet places. So fun....
We should meet there sometime and have a picnic with the cousins.
I love your pictures. My kids still talk about going there and seeing the deer.
It's only creepy if you enjoy reading obituaries too--oh wait you do! Those are super cool pictures though. It's good for Macy to be around animals and not get attacked like she did with the geese!
Your pictures are beautiful. I don't think it is creepy. That was a huge part of my growing up. Every Memorial Day we would go with my grandma to all the cemetaries around Richfield and visit all my ancestors. I loved going and looking at all the different tombstones and trying to figure out their story. It is a great way to honor those who have died.
I love your pictures! I love that cemetery. Bud, of course, wants to be buried there, across from Rice-Eccles Stadium.
That is the greatest cemetery. I love to see the beautiful deer. I learned to drive a stick shift in that cemetery.
