Julia at Six Months

The two weeks before she turned six months were big ones for our little Julia.  She started rolling over, she is now weaned onto bottles, started on baby foods, and got her first two teeth (on the bottom)!  She is also getting much better at sitting up.

In the past two months she laughs more and more and has found her voice.  She knows how to give big open mouth kisses and is discriminating about doling them out.  JD has to work hard to earn one, but she will always give me one.  It is good for my self esteem because whenever JD is around Macy has no need for me.

Statistics
weight: 18 pounds 15 ounces  (89%)
height:  26 1/2 inches  (66%)
head circumference:  16 1/2 inches (29%)
nicknames: Chunkers, Chunkerella, Juju, *Jubels, baby Ju
hair:  brown and sparse
squeezability:  off the charts

She is an absolute joy.

*JD started calling Jubels and then we found out it means laughter and merriment in German

Santa 2010

Thanksgiving in Pittsburgh

We took our last trip to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving.  We have really grown to love that city.  It is so beautiful.

I didn't take many pictures but we had fun visiting the aviary, Amish country, the mall to visit Santa, Trax farm market and the petting zoo.  Macy made her first gingerbread house and loved playing on the bunk beds.

We went to the petting zoo in the freezing almost dark.  The sheep were climbing all over Macy and she loved it.  But the small birds flying around us at the aviary scared her.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with the sister missionaries and an investigator.  After dinner, the missionaries taught a discussion.  It was so interesting to sit in and get a good feel for the missionary work.

The girls were great travelers and it was (as always) so fun to see Grammy and Grampy!
