In the Still of the Night

Every once in a while, Macy will wake up crying in the night and allow me to rock her. These are precious moments. I hold her tight as we rock in the still of the night. She nuzzles her head on my shoulder and tickles the back of my arm. As we rock back and forth, my heart swells.

I offer a silent prayer of gratitude for this incredible little spirit that Heavenly Father allowed to come to us. In the still of the night, I concede that the wait to get her here was a small moment considering the treasure we have received. And if we live worthily, she's ours for eternity. How grateful I am for this knowledge.

Are you trying to make me cry? That is so sweet. I was able to rock Grant a little while he was sick. He only holds still in the middle of the night. I know I could have put him down sooner, but I wanted to enjoy the moment.

You are the best mom! I love hearing you talk about Macy and the love you have for her. She is a lucky girl to be adored so much!

She is the cutest thing. I love how she pats you when you hold her. You are lucky and she is lucky to have you and JD too.

I also love cuddling Brady and Abby. It is one of the "shining moments of joy" that Elder Ballard talked about.
